Ear Training
We will teach kids the importance of ear training in regards to their
instrument and to listening to music in general. Topics to be covered
include: Intervals (harmony), Scales, Arpeggiations, and recognizing
different types of triad and seventh chords. Levels I and II.
Rhythm
Each student will gain a basic knowledge of rhythm and its relationship
to their instrument. Topics to be covered include: Reading rhythms,
Time signatures, Tempo (bpm), Drum rudiments, Polyrhythms,and Counting
out loud.Levels I and II.
Composition
For students interested in composing original songs we offer a workshop
style class. Topics to be covered include: An overview of songwriters
and songwriting, Song structure, Lyric writing, Song collaboration
and Innovative techniques. Levels I and II.
Music Production
A weekly class taught in the studio covering all the basics of digital
engineering and music production. Subjects will include: digital
editing, MIDI, mic techniques, effects, panning, and general mixing.
The students will get hands on experience in the studio and create
their own song productions. Digital Performer will be taught in this
class. Topics to be covered: Mac basics, Connecting a studio (wiring),
Building tracks, Effects and Mixing. Levels I, II and III.

Private lessons $65 per hour
Group lessons $35 per student for a one hour class.
Studio Time is $45 per student for a one hour class.
